No matter whether the HiBurn program exists on a board, all image files can be burnt in one click mode.
To burn image files, perform the following steps:
1 Start the HiBurn, as shown in Figure 2-1.
Figure 2-1 Burning image files by partition

2 Select a serial port for connecting the board, select the server IP address of the PC, and set the media access control (MAC) address, IP address, subnet mask, and gateway to the board. See Figure 2-2.
The server IP address of the PC and the IP address of the board must be on the same network segment. Otherwise, image files fail to be burnt.

3 Click Browse to select a partition table to load it to the HiBurn, as shown in Figure 2-2.
Figure 2-3 Setting the partition information about the board

The partition information in Figure 2-3 is used only for burning image files. The actual
partitions of the board depend on the bootargs parameter of the board. The partition
information must be consistent with that specified by the bootargs parameter. Otherwise,
errors may occur.
HiBurn supports variable paths of partitions and burning remote files.
If no image file is selected for a selected partition, erase the partition.
If the image files of all partitions are packaged as an image file, the image file must be placed
in the fastboot partition and the image file must contain the fastboot. In this case, the image
file is burnt over a serial port. Therefore, it takes a long time to burn the image file. For the
NAND flash, if the image file of the rootfs partition is readable and writable, the file cannot
be packaged.
To modify the information about a partition, modify the .xml partition information file or click the corresponding partition row in the HiBurn, as shown in Figure 2-4.

5 Connect the serial port and Ethernet port of the board. If the board is powered on, power it off and short-circuit the bootstrap jumper cap of the board. For details, see chapter 1 "Preparing the Burning Environment"

to start to burn files, see Figure 2-8.

7 Power on the board to burn the files. Figure 2-9 shows the burning process.

The information about the burning process is displayed in the Console box.
If an error occurs:
The uploading process is similar to the burning process.
8 Connect the serial port tool and restart the board.

2.3 Make image for Nand Programmers
HiBurn is able to make images for Nand Programmers¡£After finish configure the partition table, click
button£¬a dialog will be shown for you to make images, as Figure 2-10 shows.
Figure2-10 The dialog for Nand Programmer image making
When finished Configuring all the parameters shown in the dialog£¨"Randomization" is available for the Nand flashes with 8K or more page size£©£¬click "Make" button to generate image files.

1.The parameters must be same with the corresponding item in the startup information of the board. (You can use terminal tools to check out those information)
2.If users do not check a partition, or do not specify a file for the partition, then the partition will be skipped while making images.
3.If making image for non-yaffs partitions, then you mustn't set the "File System" of the partition in partition table to "yaffs". When use yaffs partitions, the selection must be set to "yaffs". Or you will get a wrong image.
HiBurn provides functions to make HiPro images. After finish configure the partition table, click
button, choose a destination, and a package file will be created. See Figure2-11

If users do not check a partition, or do not specify a file for the partition, then the partition will be skipped while making HiPro image.
