This burning mode is applicable only to the embedded multimedia card (eMMC). No matter whether the fastboot program exists on a board, all image files can be burnt in one-click mode.
To burn image files, perform the following steps:
1 Switch to the "Burn eMMC" tab, as shown in Figure 5-1.
Figure 5-1 Burning image files to the eMMC

2 Select a serial port for connecting the board, select the network IP address of the PC, and set the MAC address, IP address, subnet mask, and gateway to the board. See Figure 5-2.

The server IP address of the PC and the IP address of the board must be on the same network segment. Otherwise, image files fail to be burnt.

3 Click "Browse" to select a partition table to load it to the partition table, as shown in Figure 5-3.
Figure 5-3 Setting the partition information about the board

If the image files of all partitions are packaged as an image file, the image file must be placed in the fastboot partition and the image file must contain the fastboot. In this case, the image file is burnt over a serial port. Therefore, it takes a long time to burn the image file. Note that a partition table must be created for the eMMC file system partition and therefore the image files of the eMMC partition cannot be packaged with images files of other partitions.
4 Select Create eMMC partition table. This ensures that an eMMC partition table is created for the Ext3/4 file system partition.
To modify information about a partition, modify the .xml partition information files or click the corresponding partition row in the fastboot, as showed in Figure 5-4.
Figure 5-4 Modifying the partition information

The details are as follows:
. After clicking a partition row, you can rename the
partition, select the required file system, select the file system type, and change the start
size of the partition and partition size.
.
. Note that the fastboot partition cannot be deleted and the
name of the fastboot partition cannot be changed. Otherwise, the images files fail to be
burnt in one-click mode.
; to deselect all
partitions, click
again. To select a specific partition, select the corresponding check
box .Users can click
button to save the partition table to a file.

5 Connect the serial port and Ethernet port of the board. If the board is powered on, power it off and short-circuit the bootstrap jumper cap of the board. For details, see chapter 1 "Preparing the Burning Environment"
6
Click
to start to burn files, see Figure 5-8.

7 Power on the board to burn the files. Figure 5-9 shows the burning process.

The information about the burning process is displayed in the Console box.
If an error occurs:
The uploading process is similar to the burning process.
8 Connect the serial port tool and restart the board.
----End
This function will make the files in the partition table for the image. After finish configure the partition table, press "
" button, an image file will produce in the path you chose.Show as Figure 5-10.

----End
Upload function will upload the file to PC by the path you set.The steps of upload are same as burn. Here just show the different two steps.
Step 1 Same as burn step 1.
Step 2 Same as burn step 2.
Step 3 Config the path of upload, can set the start address in the start column and length column.Press the "select file" column, can choose the file in the PC which you want to save into.
Step 4 Same as burn step 4.
Step 5 Press "upload"button, will save the content into the spacial file, the whole process shown in Figure 5-11.

----End
HiBurn provides functions to make HiPro images. After finish configure the partition table, click
button, choose a destination, and a package file will be created. See Figure5-12

1. If users do not specify a file for the partition with "none" file system, or do not check this partition, then the partition will be skipped while making HiPro image. 2. If users do not specify a file for the ext3/4 partition, then a blank partition will be written into the image. 3. Users must specify the length of the last ext3/4 partition before making image. 4. A partition table will be written into the image along with the files, so offsets will be add to the address of fastboot partition and all ext3/4 partitions.
